The arm talks over either TTL Level Serial or RS232. The protocol is simple: you send the positions you want the arm to reach, and optionally whether to close or open the gripper. You can also rotate it 180o to make it easier to grab an object. The arm comfortably handles 1kg objects at full extension, with better than 1o precision.
